Step One of the Value Builder system
The first step of the Value Builder system is to check how good you are. Take the Value Builder survey that looks at your business through the eyes of a buyer.
It helps you check how you’re doing and allows you to see where there are growth opportunities. Importantly, the survey shows how you could reduce the business’s reliance on you, and how to focus your efforts.
The survey will provide you with an overall Value Builder score out of 100. Also, you get your score on the eight key drivers of value, which are statistically proven to increase the value of your company by up to 71%.
8 Drivers of Company Value
Your history of producing revenue and profit combined with the professionalism of your record keeping.
The proportion and quality of automatic, annuity-based revenue you collect each month.
Your likelihood to grow your business in the future and at what rate.
How well differentiated your business is from competitors in your industry.
How dependent your business is on any one employee, customer or supplier.
The likelihood that your customers will re-purchase and also refer you.
Whether your business is a cash hole or a cash tap.
Hub & Spoke
Know how your business would perform if you were unexpectedly unable to work for a period of three months.
The survey takes roughly 15 minutes to complete, after which you’ll receive your scores and a detailed report on how you can increase your score for each of the drivers. Based on quantitative analysis of more than 40,000 surveys, companies that achieve a score of 80 and above are predicted to get offers that are 71% higher than the average business.
Once you have your score and feedback from a Value Builder coach, the next step is to begin developing a plan that will help you to improve the score.
